U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Weeknd to headline Bonnaroo 2017

MANCHESTER, Tenn., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Weeknd headline an impressive list of performers set to take the stage at the 2017 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

Announced Wednesday, the lineup also includes Major Lazer, The xx, Lorde, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, Cage the Elephant, Tove Lo, Tegan and Sara, D.R.A.M., Flatbush Zombies and many more.

Bonnaroo shared a colorful poster listing the complete lineup on Twitter alongside news that tickets are on sale now.

The festival will be held from June 8-11 at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tenn.

Bonnaroo marks the first U.S. festival headlining appearance for U2 who is joining the concert as part of their upcoming Joshua Tree Tour that starts in May.

The band will be touring to mark the 30th anniversary of their fifth studio album The Joshua Tree that includes hit songs such as "With or Without You," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "Where the Streets Have No Name."

Red Hot Chili Peppers meanwhile are retuning to Bonaroo for the first time since 2012. It will mark the first appearance for The Weeknd who is coming off his recently released third studio album Starboy.
