LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Mandy Moore says Justin Timberlake once emotionally "scarred" her by remarking about her "big feet."

The 32-year-old singer and actress shared Timberlake's comments while recalling her time on tour with 'N Sync on Tuesday's episode of Late Late Show with James Corden.

"I remember distinctly one time walking backstage," Moore told Corden. "Justin Timberlake was there. Somehow there was a conversation about feet or foot size -- they were comparing shoes -- and all the background dancers and the 'N Sync background dancers and my background dancers [were there]."

"I stroll up at 15, like, freaking out that Justin Timberlake is there, and he's like, 'You have big feet for a girl,'" she said. "I'm sure he doesn't remember this at all, but I was so impressionable and I thought the world of him. He was on a pedestal."

"Sixteen years later, it stuck with me. It really scarred me emotionally," the star joked. "[My feet are] size 10, but I'm 5'10". I was, like, going through puberty at the time. It was embarrassing."

Moore was 15 when she released her first album, So Real, in 1999, and has since released five more studio albums. She previously discussed her early career on the Hallmark Channel talk show Home and Family in 2015.

"I was 15 [when I toured with 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys]. It was, like, the penultimate of who you could tour with at that time," the star said. "I went from watching them on TRL ... signing a record deal to six months later I was on the road with them."

Moore plays Rebecca on the NBC series This is Us, which airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. She will also star with Claire Holt in the survival thriller 47 Meters Down, which opens in theaters in 2017.
