TOKYO, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga channeled her Joanne album cover for her arrival in Japan on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old American singer wore a pink hat to greet fans at Narita International Airport outside Tokyo ahead of her performance on the Japanese morning show Sukkiri.

"So many gorgeous Japanese angels at the airport waiting for me! I love your [hats] & joyful SPIRIT! We're back monsters! Get ready for #JOANNE," Lady Gaga tweeted.

"Wish I could sign and take pictures with every single one of you! Aishetemasu Japan! [Love] & [peace] I can't wait to sing for you on TV! #JOANNE," she added.

Joanne debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in October and also topped the charts in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Lady Gaga previously performed on Sukkiri in 2013 and will return to the show Wednesday morning.

"I could look out this window all night. But I have to be up early for Sukkiri! Going to sing..... ???" she teased from her hotel.

"I am so grateful to have the #1 album in Japan for the 2nd week in a row. Can't wait to tell you the story of #JOANNE," she later tweeted.

Joanne includes the singles "Perfect Illusion" and "Million Reasons." Lady Gaga had revealed on Good Morning America last week that the album was named for her late aunt, who also inspired her middle name.

"She died in 1974 and the tragedy really stayed with our family our whole lives and I wanted to make a record about family and friendships and togetherness and learning from the past and that's why we're here today," she said.

"The album isn't just country. It's folk, it's dance, it's pop, it's funk. Some of my vocal jazz influence also flies in there, too. There's some rock and roll influence," the star added. "But essentially it is a pop record."
