EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Bruce Springsteen broke his own personal record for longest show in the United States Thursday as he performed at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

According to Billboard, the legendary musician, alongside the E Street Band, performed for four hours as they covered 33 songs.

During the epic performance, Springsteen was joined by Rage Against the Machine and Prophets of Rage guitarist Tom Morello to perform a collection of songs, a talented 3-year-old singer who helped out with "Waitin' on a Sunny Day" and even a marriage proposal that happened during the finale of "Jersey Girl."

Thursday's show beat Springsteen's previous record set on Tuesday where he performed at MetLife Stadium for three hours and 52 minutes. With one more New Jersey performance set, the 66-year-old can attempt to beat out his all time record of four hours and five minutes that he set in Finland back in 2012.

Also on Thursday, The Boss took to social media to share a teaser for his upcoming autobiography, Born to Run:Chapter and Verse.

"Hot off the press... the first copy of Bruce's autobiography #BornToRun!" Springsteen wrote on Twitter alongside a clip of the books pages being flipped through. The autobiography is due in to hit stores on Sept. 27.
