LOS ANGELES, June 27 (UPI) -- Toni Braxton and Birdman made their first appearance as a couple Sunday. The 48-year-old singer and 47-year-old rapper attended the 2016 BET Awards in Los Angeles, where Birdman presented an award with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri.

Braxton and Birdman, born Bryan Williams, posed for photos together inside the event. Sources told People the pair "looked blissful" and were "inseparable" as they spent time backstage.
"We're just chillin'," Birdman told the magazine. Braxton's rep later confirmed the stars are dating.
Braxton and Birdman are longtime friends and collaborators who were first linked in May. The singer's mom, Evelyn Braxton, had nothing but good things to say about Birdman on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show this month.
"I think he is a nice, respectable young man," she said. "I don't care what other say about him. He is a nice man. He is full of respect.
"I met him years ago. Toni's been knowing him, like, 15 years ago. Ever since I've been knowing that young man, I think he's just phenomenal," she added.
Braxton was married to Keri Lewis from 2001 to 2013 and shares two sons, 14-year-old Denim and 13-year-old Diezel, with the musician. She will next release the collaborative album Love, Marriage & Divorce Pt. II with Babyface.
