NEW YORK, March 26 (UPI) -- American pop star Mariah Carey says she has canceled her scheduled Sunday concert in Brussels.

"I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour," she tweeted Friday.

"I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs."

Her announcement came after a series of suicide bombings at an airport and metro station in the Belgian city killed 31 people and injured more than 300 Tuesday.
