The 23-year-old American singer and actress spent time with the 47-year-old Canadian star at Dion's Las Vegas residency show Saturday at Caesars Palace.
Gomez and her friends showed off their Celine Dion t-shirts on Snapchat and shared videos of themselves singing along at the concert. The actress even grew teary-eyed during Dion's performance of "Because You Loved Me."
Gomez and Dion were able to meet backstage, as seen in a photo Caesars Palace posted on Twitter. The concert was the older singer's final Las Vegas residency performance before a planned two-month hiatus.
"Thanks to my fans and to the amazing Colosseum public, that night after night gave me the energy to go on and make a show that Rene would be proud of," Dion wrote Sunday on Instagram.
Dion resumed her Las Vegas residency Feb. 23 following husband Rene Angelil's death in January. The singer paid tribute to her late spouse at the time, giving emotional performances of "With One More Look At You" and "All By Myself."
"I understood that my career was in a way his masterpiece, his song, his symphony," she said in a written message to the crowd. "The idea of leaving it unfinished would have hurt him terribly. I realized that if he ever left us, I would have to continue without him, for him."
Gomez released her second solo album, Revival, in October, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The actress will next appear in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and is also slated for The Fundamentals of Caring.
