LONDON, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Harry Styles has found a new manager, sparking speculation about a solo career.

The 22-year-old English singer split from One Direction's longtime management team, Modest Management, and signed with Jeffrey Azoff of Creative Artists Agency.

"We wish Harry the very best. It has been a real pleasure working with him," Modest execs Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee told Billboard. "Harry is a total gentleman, and we know our good friend Jeffrey Azoff will look after him."

News of the move comes just one month after the start of One Direction's planned hiatus. The band last performed together on New Year's Eve, and are expected to take a minimum 18-month break to rest and pursue solo careers.

"Harry is done with One Direction," a source recently told The Sun. "His new team will be about launching him as a solo superstar by around this time next year, so the work is starting now."

"The message from Harry to the other boys is pretty clear that he doesn't see 1D together for a long time if at all," the insider added. "He still plans to take some time off before getting into work. It's possible his music might not come until next year."

A One Direction rep denied rumors of a permanent split in January after news outlets reported the group won't get back together. The band last released Made in the A.M. in November, and shared a nostalgic "History" music video featuring career-spanning footage last week.

Zayn Malik, who left the group in March, launched his solo career by releasing his "Pillowtalk" music video last week. He, Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson formed One Direction on the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2010.
