LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- The final preparations are being made for Sunday evening's American Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Jennifer Lopez is to host and sing at ABC's star-studded event, which will feature performances by 5 Seconds of Summer, Justin Bieber, Leon Bridges, Coldplay, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood, Walk the Moon and The Weeknd.

Among the most anticipated moments of the gala are a planned collaboration between Alanis Morissette and Demi Lovato on Morissette's 1995 breakup anthem "You Oughta Know," as well as a capella group Pentatonix's performance of music from the Star Wars score with a full symphony orchestra and Celine Dion's rendition of Edith Piaf's "Hymne à L'Amour" in French as a tribute to those affected by the recent terror attacks in Paris.
Noteworthy duets are expected to be sung by Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, and Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town.
Stars slated to present throughout the evening include Paula Abdul, Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley Benson, Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell, Ciara, Terry Crews, Hannah Davis, DNCE, Florida Georgia Line, Tyrese Gibson, Ellie Goulding, Gigi Hadid, Fifth Harmony, Julianne Hough, Kylie Jenner, Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Lautner, Little Big Town, Tove Lo, Jenny McCarthy, Shawn Mendes, Chloe Grace Moretz, Kevin O'Leary, Norman Reedus, Jeremy Renner, Nick Robinson, Alicia Silverstone, Jeremy Sisto, Hailee Steinfeld, Wilmer Valderrama, Donnie Wahlberg, and Zendaya.
Jennifer Lopez's former boyfriend Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs will present the award for Collaboration of the Year.
Taylor Swift goes into Sunday's competition with a leading six nominations. Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd tie with five nominations each, while Sam Hunt, Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor and Walk the Moon earned three nods apiece.
