Selena Gomez to release new album in October

The singer will debut "Revival" on October 9.

LOS ANGELES, July 22 (UPI) -- Selena Gomez revealed the title and release date of her new album Tuesday.

The 23-year-old singer announced the news in an Instagram video, which sees her write out "Revival" and "10.9" as her new single, "Good for You," plays in the background.

Gomez released her debut solo album, Stars Dance, in July 2013. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Come & Get It" and "Slow Down."

The star celebrated her birthday the same day, and also shared a photo of herself with her birthday cake. "I am the luckiest, happiest girl today," she wrote. "Thank you guys so much for all the bday wishes!! I love growing up with YOU."

Gomez has turned her focus to acting in recent years, and is scheduled for a number of upcoming projects. The singer will star in adaptations of In Dubious Battle, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving and The Big Short.
