Willow Smith debuts first new music video in two years

The singer last released "Summer Fling" as Melodic Chaotic in 2013.

LOS ANGELES, May 8 (UPI) -- Willow Smith released a music video for new song "F Q-C #7" on Thursday.

The 14-year-old singer last debuted "Summer Fling" as Melodic Chaotic in July 2013. Smith wrote the track and produced the new video, which sees the teenager sing and dance in several colorful ensembles.

"The different Me's represent my Chakras," she explained in an email to Fader. "Yellow is Self-confidence, Blue is my voice (song), Red is my survival instinct, and the Black is a combination of everything (the true me."

Smith released the song last week on Tidal, and subsequently tweeted, "Writing the F Q-C #7 video and bringing it into reality was one of the most exhilarating experiences in my life. For my republic I stand..." after the video's debut.

Smith is daughter to actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith and sister to 16-year-old Jaden Smith. The burgeoning singer is known for such songs as "Whip My Hair," which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
