Green Day, Ringo Starr, Joan Jett inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

CLEVELAND, April 19 (UPI) -- Ringo Starr, Green Day and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were among the veteran music acts inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a star-studded ceremony in Cleveland Saturday night.

Other inductees included Stevie Ray Vaughan, the 5 Royales, Bill Withers, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and the late Lou Reed.

Some of the artists who turned out to pay tribute to the inductees were Doyle Bramhall II, Zac Brown, Miley Cyrus, Fall Out Boy, Dave Grohl, John Legend, John Mayer, Paul McCartney, Tom Morello, Yoko Ono, Patti Smith and Stevie Wonder, Billboard reported.
