LAS VEGAS, March 13 (UPI) -- Celine Dion plans to resume her Las Vegas residency.

The 46-year-old singer's rep told Us Weekly, "Celine has a contract with Caesars [Palace] so she will be back. However, there is no date scheduled yet for her to return."

Dion is signed with The Colosseum at the hotel and casino through 2019, but announced she will put her career on hold "indefinitely" to care for ailing husband Rene Angelil, 73, in August 2014.

Confirmation of Dion's intent comes days after manager Aldo Giampaolo assured fans the singer will indeed return to the stage. Caesars Palace declared they "are prepared to welcome Celine Dion back ... as soon as she is ready to return" in a statement.

Dion was dealing with a throat-related illness when she last performed at The Colosseum in July 2014, while Angelil continues to struggle with throat cancer. Dion and Angelil married in 1994, and have three sons together, 14-year-old Rene-Charles and 4-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
