LOS ANGELES, March 12 (UPI) -- Zedd was impressed while working with Selena Gomez. The 25-year-old DJ opened up about the 22-year-old singer in an interview with MTV News. Zedd and Gomez are rumored to be dating, and recently collaborated on new single "I Want You to Know."

"What makes Selena different from a lot of other artists is that she takes directions," he related. "As a producer, I like to be there when the vocals get recorded and I need the singer to listen to what I say and bring the emotion that I want. And she was really, really great with that."
"She's extremely talented with dealing and being in the press all the time and being everywhere and not being bothered by that," he lauded. "I find it extremely inspiring. To see that you can kind of shut off and do your thing and not be bothered by other people."
Zedd and Gomez were spotted holding hands at a Golden Globes after-party in January, and continued to fuel dating rumors by sharing photos together on Instagram. The pair released "I Want You to Know" in February, and debuted a music video for the song Tuesday.
