Rita Ora to perform at 2015 Oscars ceremony

The 87th annual Oscars ceremony will air February 22 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Rita Ora will perform at the 2015 Academy Awards.

The 24-year-old singer revealed the news Wednesday on Twitter. Ora will sing "Grateful" from Gina Prince-Bythewood film Beyond the Lights, a track nominated for Best Original Song.

"I'm excited to announce @TheAcademy invited me to perform on the #Oscars on Feb 22nd!" she wrote.

Adam Levine was previously confirmed to sing "Lost Stars" from Begin Again, while John Legend and Common will perform "Glory" from Selma. "Everything is Awesome" from The Lego Movie and "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me are also nominated.

"International recording artist Rita Ora will make her Oscar stage debut this year," ceremony producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. "The mixture of her incredible voice and glamour makes a perfect combination for our show."

Ora released her debut studio album, Ora, in August 2012, and has a second record in the works. The singer will portray Mia Grey in a Sam Taylor-Johnson adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, and was recently made a coach on The Voice U.K.
