Sam Woolf, 'American Idol' finalist, releases his first album

NASHVILLE, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Sam Woolf has independently released a debut album called Pretend.

The 18-year-old performer was an American Idol Season 13 Top 5 finalist.

Pretend was produced, engineered and mixed by Grammy-winner Danny Blume, and features backing vocals by Curtis King and Cindy Mizzelle. The record is available for purchase online at CD Baby and will go on sale at iTunes at a later date.

"Sam is a natural singer whose soul and passion are undeniable in every note he sings. Sam's beautiful, heartfelt lyrics, delivery, melodic instinct, and rock-solid guitar playing made this record a joy to produce," Blume said in a statement Friday.
