Yoko Ono teams up with The Flaming Lips for Christmas song

The track was originally released in 1971 by Lennon and Ono's band John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band in collaboration with the Harlem Community Choir.

SEATTLE, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips have released a new cover of the song "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

The song will be featured on Amazon Prime's compilation All Is Bright, a playlist that includes 40 holiday songs and was released Friday.

"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" was originally released in 1971 by Lennon and Ono's band John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band in collaboration with the Harlem Community Choir.

All Is Bright, which is free for Amazon Prime members, features old and new holiday classics by Ono, The Flaming Lips, and other artist including Lucinda Williams, The Rosebuds, This Is The Kit, No Sinner and many more.

Ono and the American rock band previously collaborated in 2011 for the holiday song, "Atlas Eets Christmas."
