Taylor Swift to perform on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve'

The ABC show will kick off Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

NEW YORK, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Music superstar Taylor Swift is to headline Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015 in New York's Times Square, ABC announced.

The televised celebration of New Year's Eve also will feature dozens of other musical performances by 2014's biggest acts, starting Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. "Each year, New Year's Rockin' Eve continues its iconic legacy by delivering incredible performances from the year's hottest artists, and this year is no exception. We already have secured an unprecedented number of music acts, culminating with a Times Square performance by Taylor, the biggest superstar in music today," Seacrest, the event's host and executive producer, said in a statement Monday. Swift, who writes all of her own country and pop songs, is a seven-time Grammy winner. She is 24.
