NASHVILLE, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Jason Aldean will extend his Burn It Down Tour into 2015.

The 37-year-old singer began the tour May 1 in Roanoke, Va., and will perform an extra 23 dates in 2015. Aldean was originally scheduled to close the tour October 25 in Dallas, Texas, but will kick off the second leg February 12 in Greenville, S.C.

"The tour is doing well, so you want to expand it and hit some cities that you didn't hit on the first leg of it -- that's the biggest thing," he told Rolling Stone Country. "Every year you try to hit the major markets, for the most part. We were able to do that, but there were a few places we weren't able to hit on this run."

Aldean will be accompanied by supporting acts Tyler Farr and Cole Swindell, and told the magazine he counts the singers among his friends.

"When you're out on the road for as long as we are and playing as many dates as we are, you want to be out there with guys that you enjoy hanging out with," he related. "I get to go traveling and hang out with my boys for a year."

The Burn It Down Tour setlist includes songs from Aldean's first five studio albums: Jason Aldean (2005), Relentless (2007), Wide Open (2009), My Kinda Party (2010) and Night Train (2012). The singer's sixth studio album, Old Boots, New Dirt, was released October 7, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
