MIAMI, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Gwen Stefani is putting the finishing touches on her upcoming new solo album and is expected to choose the record's lead single in the coming weeks.

The singer's manager, Irving Azoff, revealed in a panel Monday that Stefani has been working with longtime collaborator and current The Voice co-star Pharrell Williams in Miami, recording tracks for the new album, which will follow 2006's The Sweet Escape.

Azoff added she plans to perform the album's debut track on The Voice later in the season.

Simultaneously the 44-year-old singer is working on a new music with her band No Doubt. The "Hollaback Girl" singer told MTV in September that "at this point" she can "do both" albums.

In addition to her new music, Stefani made her debut as a judge on Fox's singing competition The Voice in late September and has been keeping busy with her five-month-old son, Apollo.

The singer's new solo album is expected to be released in December.
