DETROIT, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Bob Seger will release his new album Ride Out in October.

The record is the 69-year-old musician's 17th studio album, and his first release since 2006's Face the Promise. The full track listing has not been announced, but a press release states the album will include original song "All the Roads" and a cover of Wilco and Billy Bragg's "California Stars."

"I feel really good about this record," Seger said in a statement. "This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world -- from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of feelings I have about a variety of subjects."

Seger has sold over 50 million albums in his decades-long career. Ride Out is scheduled for release October 14.
