The suit was filed by Cahuenga, Inc. on behalf of production company IMP Entertainment and it states the rapper was scheduled to perform for one hour at Hollywood's Siren Studios on February 19, 2011 at midnight, but that she arrived 90 minutes late and was onstage for about 30 minutes.
The plaintiff claims Minaj, 31, was paid $53,050 to sing at the event and that her incomplete performance "defeated the entire purpose of the agreement."
The suit asks for the "Super Bass" singer to reimburse the production company for the fee she received as well as for other unspecified damages.
Minaj suddenly left while in the midst of singing "Roman's Revenge," and although the departure was covered in several of the reviews for the event, most critics said her actions were irrelevant because the public enjoyed the rest of her performance.
The singer was asked to appear at the event again in 2012. A rep for Minaj had no comment about the reports.
