LOS ANGELES, July 21 (UPI) -- Kanye West plans to release a new album this fall.

The 37-year-old rapper covers the August issue of GQ, and details the announcement in the interview. West intends to release new music in August, with an album to follow as early as September.

"I hope I can get one of these songs out in the next couple of weeks, just to have something up and running," he says. "But I think most likely September [for the album]. I go back and forth. Like, should it be September or should it be October? Should it be November?"

"When Beyoncé was working on her last album, she took a while," he continues. "I was thinking [mine] could somehow come out in June, like Yeezus, and just kill it for the summer. But then I'm like, I have to work on Adidas and be with my child."

West released his sixth studio album, Yeezus, in June 2013. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The busy rapper is in the midst of a collaboration with Adidas, and hopes to release his own fashion line in the near future. In addition, he and Kim Kardashian got married in May, and their daughter North West turned one in June.
