ARLINGTON, Texas, June 8 (UPI) -- Country singer George Strait performed before 104,793 people Saturday night in Arlington in what was the largest indoor concert in North America.

The Amarillo By Morning singer blasted past the previous record -- 87,500 set in 1981 by the Rolling Stones at the Louisiana Superdome -- out of the water at his performance at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The show was his last stop on his Cowboy Rides Away tour, which he says will be his last.

The concert included guest performances by Strait's son, George Jr., known as Bubba, Miranda Lambert, Vince Gill, Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Sheryl Crow. All the guests were brought back out on stage for the three encores.
