RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., June 4 (UPI) -- Christopher Wallace Jr., the son of R&B singer Faith Evans and late rapper Notorious B.I.G., graduated high school Thursday in California.

The new graduate, who goes by the name C.J., graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School, a photo his mother posted on Instagram indicates.

"My first born son @cj_toa & I #proud," Evans wrote in the caption accompanying the photo.

C.J. was less than a year old when his father, Christopher Smalls Sr., or Biggie Smalls, was shot to death in a drive-by shooting in 1997.
