LOS ANGELES, June 4 (UPI) -- Lana Del Rey released new single "Ultraviolence" on Wednesday.

The song is the title track from her upcoming album of the same name, and features a downtempo beat and the singer's signature breathy vocals. Del Rey debuted the song live during her May 25 concert in Vancouver, B.C.

Ultraviolence is the 27-year-old singer's third studio album. Her last release, Born to Die (2012), included the hit songs "Video Games" and "Summertime Sadness," and was rereleased as Paradise in late 2012.

Del Rey told the BBC in February 2013 that her new album is "a little more stripped down [than Born to Die] but still cinematic and dark."
