LONDON, May 28 (UPI) -- One Direction's Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are under scrutiny for smoking marijuana.

The boy band singers appear on camera in a leaked video posted Tuesday by the Daily Mail. The footage was reportedly taken in Peru earlier this year during the South American leg of the band's Where We Are tour.

The video shows Zayn and Louis as they pass a joint between themselves and three other people in a car. The two performers can be heard to joke about their marijuana use.

Louis: "So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days... What do you think, Zayn? About that kind of content? Zayn: "I think it's very controversial." Louis: "...That's just Zayn warming up there before the show. Zayn takes his job very seriously. He makes sure he goes through a two-hour intense warmup regime before every show, just to get himself in the zone. One very, very important factor to Zayn's warmup of course, is Mary Jane herself. In fact, I'm presenting it to him now for some fantastic singing." [Louis passes Zayn the joint.] Louis: "How is it Zayn?" Zayn: "Nice."

A representative for the band tells TMZ the video was stolen. One Direction lawyers are investigating the theft.

Zayn, Louis and the rest of One Direction kicked off the European portion of their tour on Friday. The band is scheduled to perform Wednesday evening in Sunderland, England.
