Judas Priest says new song 'Halls of Valhalla' is 'more metal than metal'

The new album is Judas Priest's first release since "Nostradamus" in 2008.

LOS ANGELES, May 28 (UPI) -- Judas Priest is gearing up to release new album Redeemer of Souls.

The heavy metal act has released a preview of song Halls of Valhalla ahead of the record's debut. Frontman Rob Halford proclaims the track "more metal than metal," and an "amazing characteristic statement."

Redeemer of Souls is Judas Priest's seventeenth studio album, and their first release since Nostradamus in 2008. The record also marks the 40th anniversary of the band, and is scheduled for release July 8.
