Paul McCartney cancels another show due to illness

SEOUL, May 21 (UPI) -- Paul McCartney has canceled another show due to illness.

The 71-year-old musician was scheduled to perform May 28 in Seoul, South Korea, but lingering health issues have caused him to cancel.

Word broke on Tuesday that McCartney had come down with a virus and canceled his remaining tour dates in Japan. A spokesperson for the star addressed the Seoul cancellation Wednesday.

"All possibilities to reschedule this show are being explored," the rep asserted. "After coming down with a virus in Japan, doctors have ordered Paul complete rest. Paul is still not feeling better and this cancellation is unavoidable."

"I was really looking forward to visiting and playing in South Korea for the first time and I'm sorry to be letting fans down," the singer said in a statement. "I'm very disappointed by this and hope to be able to visit soon."

McCartney has 19 upcoming U.S. tour dates scheduled to begin June 14 in Lubbock, Tex.
