SãO PAULO, May 19 (UPI) -- Pitbull's World Cup anthem We Are One has failed to impress many Brazilians.

The song and its music video feature Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian pop singer Claudia Leitte. Pitbull and Lopez perform the majority of the song in English, while Leitte makes a brief appearance in Portuguese at the end. Brazilian group Olodum also cameos to provide the drum beat for the track.

The music video, which was shot in Miami, debuted on Friday to mixed reviews. Many Brazilians have taken to social media to express their disappointment with the song's "big pile of cliches."

"The video reproduces the same old idea that our parties always have half-naked, sexualized and curvy women, men fighting capoeira, and a samba group together with Olodum," music journalist Leka Peres tweeted in response to We Are One. "I've never seen anything like that in my life."

"We Are One has a Caribbean beat, not a Brazilian beat," student Loren Edelstein wrote. "Did they mix up where the World Cup is happening?"

The 2014 World Cup games will take place June 12 to July 13 at twelve different cities in Brazil. São Paulo will host the first match on June 12.
