Kelly Rowland marries Tim Witherspoon in Costa Rica

LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- Recording artist Kelly Rowland has married her manager Tim Witherspoon in Costa Rica.

The couple announced their engagement last December after they had dated for several years.

Rowland's former, fellow Destiny's Child singer Beyonce and Beyonce's sister, Solange, attended the May 9 ceremony after Solange's now-infamous altercation with Jay Z, Beyonce's husband, at a Met Gala after-party May 5.

"It was a quick, simple ceremony -- only around 30 people," a source told Us Magazine about the wedding.

Rowland's publicist did not respond to the media outlet's requests for comment regarding the happy event.
