LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey has announced the details of her so-called secret album.

The upcoming album is the 45-year-old singer's 14th studio release, and is titled Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse. The star had hinted in a recent interview with Billboard that the title refers to a "personal possession of mine that's part of an entity that I've had almost all my life."

That possession has been revealed to be her "first and only self-portrait," which includes the words "Me. I Am Mariah." Carey drew the picture in her childhood, and the drawing is now featured on the back cover of the album.

"Please don't judge me for such a simplistic title," she jokes. "Come on, I was only three and a half." As for "The Elusive Chanteuse," the singer says the moniker is a nickname she recently adopted.

Carey says the new album "reflects the peaks and valleys that made me who I am today." She has released the track list in addition to the title and cover art, and Nas, Fabolous, Mary J. Blige and R. Kelly are some musicians who make guest appearances.

The tracks reportedly explore Carey's "feel-good, hip-hop/R&B side," and include introspective songs as well. Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse debuts online and in stores May 27.
