LOS ANGELES, April 30 (UPI) -- The Game and T.I. were involved in a tense standoff with police early Wednesday morning. The rappers were inside a Los Angeles club when several of their acquaintances were denied entry to the venue. Members of the group got into a heated argument with club security that quickly escalated into violence.

One of the men threw a punch, and security guards responded by brutally beating two members of the posse. When The Game and T.I. stepped out of the club, they mistakenly believed nearby police were responsible for the fight.

The two musicians angrily confronted the armed LAPD. Over a dozen police officers were on the scene, and T.I. can be heard to ask "Is this a crime scene?! Y'all got a lot of people to beat up," in a TMZ video of the incident.

The two injured men were taken into custody at the LAPD Hollywood station. No charges were filed, and they were later released.
