KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 19 (UPI) -- All seven remaining U.S. dates of Miley Cyrus' Bangerz tour have been postponed due to her current illness, her website announced.

The singer was hospitalized Tuesday due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics she was taking for a sinus infection she got while in North Carolina.

"This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases," a statement from her representatives said. "She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."

On Friday, her representative released another statement saying "all remaining U.S. dates on the Miley Cyrus Bangerz tour have been postponed.'

In addition to rescheduling the seven tour dates, another two -- in Pittsburgh and Chicago -- were added to the makeup dates in August.

"The European leg of the tour will proceed as planned," the singer's website said.
