Bieber out in public for first time since arrest

PANAMA CITY, Panama, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Pop star Justin Bieber has been spotted on a beach in Panama following his arrest in Miami for drag racing last week, officials said.

Bieber, 19, was arrested Thursday and charged with drunken driving, driving without a valid driver's license and resisting arrest. He was later released from custody on $2,500 bail.

Bieber was spotted Saturday on a beach in Panama with a blonde woman believed to be model Chantel Jeffries, 21, who was with him at the time of his arrest, People magazine reported.

Pictures taken by fans as Bieber arrived at the airport in Panama were posted online.

The Canadian singer is being investigated by Los Angeles police for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbor's home earlier this month.
