ATLANTA, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested for obstruction for allegedly cursing at police and refusing to provide his name, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.

The hip-hop artist, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, was released from Fulton County jail late Tuesday after posting $1,000 bail, the newspaper reported.

Jenkins, 36, was allegedly uncooperative with police who questioned him in a parking lot as they were responding to a call at an Alpharetta townhouse where a security alarm had been set off, the Journal-Constitution said.

Jenkins surrendered on battery, false imprisonment and terroristic threats charges this month in connection with an alleged fight with his son in 2012. A warrant had been issued for his arrest and he was released the same day after posting $45,000 bond, the newspaper said.
