NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- "Supermodel," the latest album from U.S. indie pop band Foster the People, will be released March 18, Columbia Records announced.

Produced by Paul Epworth, the CD is the follow-up to the group's critically acclaimed 2011 debut "Torches."

"We didn't have any rules. We just created as much as we could in seven days," front man Mark Foster said in a statement Tuesday. "And in the spirit of wanderlust and discovery we ended up stumbling on the musical identity of what this record was going to feel like."
