MIAMI, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Pop singer Robin Thicke threatened to back out of a planned New Year's Eve gig because his Miami hotel room was too small, the New York Post reported.

The "Blurred Lines" recording artist was scheduled to serve as host of a party at the SLS Hotel South Beach Tuesday night, but he said he would scrap the appearance if he wasn't moved to a different hotel room after he checked in Monday.

"He threatened to pull out if he didn't get a bigger room," a source told the Post. "His travel agent was calling all over Miami to get him a bigger room at a different hotel."

He ultimately calmed down and performed at the party, the newspaper said.

"Robin has been a great guest," a hotel representative told the Post.
