Eminem, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars win big at the EMAs

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Eminem, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Green Day, Beyonce and Katy Perry were among the winners at the 20th MTV Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam.

Eminem was presented with the Global Icon and Best Hip Hop Artist prizes,Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" was named Best Song and Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" was declared Best Video in a ceremony Sunday night.

Perry and Bieber took home the trophies for Best Female and Male Artist, respectively, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis picked up the prize for Best New Artist.

One Direction earned the accolade for Best Pop Act, Beyonce the title of Best Live Act, Green Day the statuette for Best Rock Act, Avicii the award for Best Electronic Act and Thirty Seconds to Mars the prize for Best Alternative Act.
