Chief Keef sentenced to 90 days in rehab

CHICAGO, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- An Illinois judge sentenced Keith Cozart, the rapper known as Chief Keef, to 90 days in rehab after he tested positive for drugs while on probation.

The Chicago Sun-Times said the 18-year-old musician is due back in a Skokie courtroom Thursday to clarify the type of mandatory rehab program he must attend after he leaves the Cook County Jail, possibly this week.

Cozart spent time in a juvenile detention center in January for wielding a gun in a music video, which violated his probation for an earlier firearm conviction for pointing a weapon at police, the Chicago Sun-Times said.

He also was arrested for disorderly conduct in May at the LeMeridien Atlanta Perimeter hotel and ordered to pay a $531 fine in July after the Illinois State Police stopped him for doing 110 mph on the Edens Expressway, the newspaper said.
