'Bridges of Madison County' to start Jan. 17 on Broadway

NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Performances of the new Broadway musical "The Bridges of Madison County" are to begin a few days later than planned, producers said Tuesday.

Jeffrey Richards, Stacey Mindich and Jerry Frankel announced the show will now start previews Jan. 17 at the Gerald B. Schoenfeld Theatre.

Previews were originally scheduled Jan.13, but were changed to accommodate a later rehearsal start date of Dec. 9. The opening night will remain as initially scheduled, Feb. 27.

Actress Kelli O'Hara reunites with Bartlett Sher, director of her hit shows "South Pacific" and "The Light in the Piazza," for "The Bridges of Madison County." Steven Pasquale is to co-star in the production.
