Psy's 'Gentleman' video has been viewed 573 million times on YouTube

NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- The music video for South Korean pop star Psy's song "Gentleman" is currently YouTube's most viewed music video of 2013, with more than 573 million hits.

"The cinematic clip for the infectious and invigorating international anthem continues to entice viewers daily," Republic Records said in a news release Tuesday. "In addition, the music video is ranked No. 7 on YouTube's all-time most-viewed videos list. It's on track to hit 600 million by the end of the year. As a result it will become No. 5 of all time."

Psy is best known for his 2012 international hit "Gangnam Style," which is the first clip ever to reach 1 billion views on YouTube/VEVO.

The artist is working on his official debut full-length album for the United States, his record label said.
