'Royals' tops U.S. record chart

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Lorde's "Royals" is No. 1 on the U.S. record chart, Billboard.com reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Hot 100 is Katy Perry's "Roar," followed by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" at No. 3, Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" featuring Majid Jordan at No. 4 and Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Jay Z's "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake at No. 6, Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" at No. 7, Ylvis' "The Fox" at No. 8, Lady Gaga's "Applause" at No. 9, and Lana Del Rey and Cedric Gervais' "Summertime Sadness" at No. 10.
