'Annie' revival to close on Broadway Jan. 5

NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- The Broadway revival of "Annie" is to close Jan. 5, producers announced Thursday.

The Tony Award-nominated production opened Nov. 8, 2012, at the Palace Theatre and will have played 487 performances and 38 previews by the time its curtain falls the last time.

The production will begin a U.S. tour in the 2014-15 season.

"Annie" stars Faith Prince as Miss Hannigan, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks, and 11-year-olds Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink alternating as characters Annie and Duffy.
