Pop star Fergie gives birth to her first child

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Fergie's publicist told People.com the pop star gave birth to her first child, a son, in Los Angeles Thursday.

Axl Jack Duhamel weighed in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces, the representative said.

TMZ reported the child was delivered via scheduled Cesarean section.

The singer married actor Josh Duhamel in 2009.
