Kelly Clarkson says she isn't pregnant

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Kelly Clarkson used Twitter to deny reports that she is pregnant with her first child.

Clarkson recently said she and her fiance, Brandon Blackstock, intend to elope instead of having a big wedding.

The statement sparked speculation that Clarkson is pregnant and wants to marry Blackstock before the baby arrives.

"FYI ....Brandon & I are getting married & no I am not pregnant. We are eloping for one reason only. We both want an intimate ceremony," Clarkson tweeted Thursday.
