Kelly Clarkson to release her first Christmas album in October

NEW YORK, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artist Kelly Clarkson is to release her first Christmas album "Wrapped in Red" Oct. 29, RCA Records announced Monday.

The CD will feature new songs such as "Underneath the Tree" and the title track "Wrapped in Red," as well as holiday favorites such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Blue Christmas," "Run Run Rudolph" and "Please Come Home For Christmas."

"I'm super excited to put out my first Christmas record," Clarkson said in a statement. "I absolutely love Christmas music and have had a total blast recording and writing for it. I can't wait for y'all to hear it."

Clarkson kicked off her concert tour with Maroon 5 Aug. 1 in St. Louis, Mo. The series of shows is to end Oct. 6 in Los Angeles, Calif.
