NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- A high-flying performer from the Broadway musical "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" remained hospitalized in stable condition Friday after a mishap Thursday.
"Following last night's accident at 'Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark,' Daniel Curry remains in the hospital in stable condition having sustained an injury to his foot," show spokesman Rick Miramontez said in a statement Friday.
"Tonight's performance will go on as scheduled. The technical elements of the show are all in good working order, and we can confirm that equipment malfunction was not a factor in the incident. Our thoughts are with Daniel and his family."
The Internet Broadway Database said Curry is an aerialist who appears as several characters in the show.
Based on the superhero comic-book franchise, the blockbuster musical features music by Bono and The Edge of U2.
