COLUMBIA, Md., July 29 (UPI) -- Robin Thicke, MGMT and Vampire Weekend are to headline the Virgin Mobile FreeFest in Columbia, Md., in September, organizers announced Monday.

Also on the bill are the Avett Brothers, Pretty Lights, Kaskade, City and Colour, Icona Pop, CHVRCHES, The Knocks, Black Joe Lewis, Sky Ferreira and Little Green Cars.

The Baltimore Sun said the names of the top acts were unveiled on a wall mural on the Sasha Bruce RE*Generation House homeless youth shelter in Washington. The shelter was built from the proceeds of earlier music festivals, the newspaper said.

This year's event, which will also benefit the shelter, is to take place Sept. 21 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Tickets are to become available at ticketfly.com Aug. 9. Some 50,000 tickets were claimed within minutes for last year's event, the Sun said.
