PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz., July 24 (UPI) -- Country music star Dierks Bentley helped raise nearly $500,000 for the families of the 19 firemen who died in an Arizona wildfire last month, People.com said.

Bentley and his band headlined the Country Cares Concert in Prescott Valley Monday night. The show also featured performances by Randy Houser, The Band Perry and David Nail.

People.com said Brendan McDonough, the sole survivor of the 20-member Granite Mountain Hotshots elite firefighting crew, joined Bentley on stage when he presented a check for $476,000 to the late firefighters' families on behalf of the Country Cares concert.
